I. Seeing Glory Face to Face: Introduction
By Christine S., T4TL Ministry
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being
transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from
the Lord, who is in the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
Coming into this semester, the staff wanted to
talk about transformation for 2005. We had many thoughts and lessons going through
our minds, but one verse really stood out in our meeting. So as 2005 kicks off,
new memories are made, new goals created, mistakes made, lessons learned, etc.,
I decided a study of 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 would be a powerful start. I’ve brought
in a personal prayer, “to see glory face to face,” with hopes that your endeavors
in this study may transform your life as it has transformed mine.
In preparation for this series, I challenge you
to read 2 Corinthians 3:7-18. Read it over a couple times, don’t worry if it
doesn’t all sink in, just familiarize yourself with the context. Journal the
words, thoughts, themes and questions that stick out or come to mind with this
passage. Please do this before continuing on with the devotional study. To get
the most out of this study, it is suggested that you start each portion with
prayer. It may also be helpful to print out a copy and journal or take notes
on the devotionals. Also, be sure to go in order. Enough said, be blessed~ |
